Gram Vikas

The Rainmatter Foundation supports Gram Vikas to develop an intersectional approach to localise climate-resilient actions in 1000 Gram Panchayats in Odisha. The initiative will record the impact of climate change on rural communities and strengthen their abilities to self-assess the changes, and accordingly take action. It will demonstrate climate-sensitive value chain measures in agriculture and non-farm production systems, develop Village Climate Action Plans as part of poverty reduction efforts, build evidence for use by other stakeholders, engage governments to adopt best practices into their programmes, and inform policies.
